Powered Flight Day 2010 in Ulm:

Highflyers take to the skies

Tutima honors aerobatics pilot Philipp Steinbach
Right out in front: Philipp Steinbach is not only the star of the international aerobatics scene, but also of this year's Powered Flight Day. On October 23, to the applause of an audience from the aviation sector, the pilot was duly celebrated for his outstanding achievements in 2010.

There was good reason why the motor sports committee ultimately awarded the prize to the 36-yearold pilot from Baden-Württembergischer Luftfahrtverband e.V. It is not only Steinbach's maneuvers in the cockpit of his self-designed ultralight futuristic looking Sbach that are breathtaking, but also the list of his awards to date: this unbeatable pilot has secured top places at numerous national and international competitions and also won the German championships on several occasions.

The Tutima Grand Classic Automatic

Ute Delecate of Tutima presented the prize – a Tutima Grand Classic Automatic – to the lucky winner. This was not the first time that the company had congratulated this pilot: at the Classic Days 2010 at Schönhagen Airport in Berlin Brandenburg back in July, Steinbach had already delivered a superlative air show, winning the legendary "Tutima Award of the Skies" in the Aerobatics category. A love of flying is nothing new at the company from Lower Saxony: Tutima has provided strong support for aviation for many years and, in addition to its other activities, has earned an excellent reputation as the main sponsor of the German National Powered Flight Team of the German Aero Club.
